If you're going to school in the PNW, you are legally required to store your dad's home roasted beans in a mason jar.

Coffee roasting has been in our family for over 10 years, spanning two generations...if you squint.

Our story begins with betrayal. A son leaving for college, a treacherous father using that absence to drill holes in a popcorn maker to give life to his empty-nest hobby--coffee roasting. The loss of the popcorn maker was eventually assuaged by care-packages of delicious beans--the most vital nutrient for any college student.

Flash forward and the popcorn maker x roaster was retired and several iterations of new roasting tools and apparatuses were subject to experimentation. Graduation happened and the prodigal son returned with the final member of the Brewtique team. With Brewtique formed, these characters and fools became 'we' and we went on to acquire a tricycle to serve nitro cold brew out of.

The volume of what we were roasting grew exponentially as we were brewing and kegging our own cold brew. Churning out that much coffee was a lot of work for our brave little Barratza who had to chew through pounds and pounds of beans.

ALL THINGS END
